Join thousands of hikers from across America as they participate in the 27th annual Crazy Horse Volksmarch! This beloved family-friendly event takes place on June 2-3 and has become an annual tradition for many.
The Volksmarch itself includes a 6.2-mile round-trip hike, and signifies the only time of the year during which people are permitted to walk out onto the arm of the Crazy Horse monument. It's a lot of fun, and the view from the top is absolutely spectacular.

If you’re a fan of the Antiques Roadshow on PBS, you’ve likely already heard that they’ll be visiting South Dakota soon. This will be the show’s first visit to South Dakota. The TV Show will be at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Saturday, July 14, 2012.
The Brookings High School Cheerleaders made an excellent showing of team spirit during the State AA Basketball Tournaments! They are the very first winners of our Annual Hall Decorating Contest. Congratulations!
The Best Western Ramkota Rapid City Hotel & Conference Center is proud to host the boys' basketball teams (as well as SDHSAA staff and officials) next week for the Boys' State Class AA Basketball Tournament! The hotel will be sold out for this popular state-wide event as teams and fans converge upon the property to enjoy our waterpark, pool, fitness center, and Minervas Restaurant.
For the first time ever, the Ramkota is hosting a hall-decorating contest to recognize the excitement and school spirit demonstrated by the cheerleaders, teams, and fans staying with us during tournament week. Guidelines will be provided to each school and the hallways will be judged by a team of Ramkota staff... and the winning school's cheerleading team or booster club will receive a prize of $100!
This competition was conceived last year as we admired the amazing creativity and talent demonstrated by the various schools in their decorating. We'll announce our first annual winner on Friday, March 16!

A warm welcome to all of you who are joining us in Rapid City for the South Dakota State B Wrestling Tournament this weekend! The tournament will be held Friday, February 24, and Saturday, February 25, at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center (only 5 minutes away from our hotel). You can find a tournament schedule here.

Mardi Gras is coming to Deadwood!
